Because we were already making some of the most efficient units in the industry, adding diesel power to these units used (and continues to use) less gas per hour due to the lower power draw of the electric unit.

F35 PC Air
FCX is the 1st manufacturer to supply Point of Use PC Air for Lockheed Martin’s F35 Lightning II JSF program. These units are high pressure, ultra dry air unit using 100% ambient air, dehumidifying and delivering nearly 6-PSI per F35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter specifications. This unit is also adjustable to cool most any military fighter or cargo aircraft in the world including UAV aircraft like the Predator and Reaper.
270VDC Power Supplies for US Navy Aircraft Carrier Fleet
235 270 Volt DC Power Supplies were manufactured, tested, and delivered to the US Navy for fitment aboard the aircraft carrier fleet to prepare for the arrival of the F-35. The units were designed and built to stringent specifications, including comprehensive shock and vibration requirements which were verified through extensive independent testing.

2008
Commercial AHU
FCX Systems expanded the product line to include Commercial Air Handler Units (AHU). These are PC Air units that use chilled water/glycol mixture from a central chiller plant. These units cool and heat aircraft with the supplied mixture without having an individual self-contained refrigeration unit.

2007
Air Borne Laser (ABL) Program
Boeing Company asked. FCX Delivered! Boeing sought out FCX Systems with a challenging requirement to build a one-of-a-kind Cooling Unit for the YAL-1 Airborne Laser. These were three 1100PPM at 3 PSI units paralleled to deliver a total 375 tons of cooling for the modified Boeing 747 mounted systems.
2006
Opened NEW PC Air building in Morgantown, WV
This new expansion doubled FCX System’s production capability. A required step to accommodate the rapidly growing PC Air market and FCX’s expanding product line which included 28 volt DC and 60kva-180kva mobile diesel power units.
F-35 Aircraft Power and Cooling at Edwards Air Force Base, CA
Edwards AFB installed FCX System’s power and cooling; the first Air Force F-35 operational 270 volt DC power and the first aircraft cooling systems (both DX and chill water) in Hangar 1820 in preparation for the F-35’s arrival there for operational testing and maintenance training.
