FCX Employee of the Month – June 2017

Tom Victor

Tiffany Albright

When hiring for the position that our June employee of the month is in, Senior Management had several discussions as to what kind of characteristics we wanted and needed the individual to have in the position. In all of our discussions, we always came back to we need an individual who is a “bulldog”. Some characteristics of a bulldog include the following: persistent, quiet temper (only bark when there is a good reason), tenacious (holding firm), easy-going attitude, stubborn and tolerant. Physical characteristics a bulldog include broad chest and shoulders, muscular and short legs. Although our recipient does not have the short legs, he does have the rest of the physical build that would discourage anyone from messing with him. The general appearance and attitude of a bulldog suggests great strength, stability of temperament, and the ability to get the job done.

FCX found the “bulldog” we were looking for when we hired Tom Victor as our Purchasing Manager. Just as a bulldog, Tom is persistent with our suppliers (only barks at them when there is good reason), holds our suppliers to committed delivery dates, and drives the Purchasing Agents to negotiate for best pricing. Congratulations to Tom Victor – June 2017 Employee of the Month.
