Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport

On July 3, 2010 Terminal 3 of the Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport was opened for service by the Prime Minister of India.  The Prime Minister’s helicopter made the first official landing at the Terminal and he declared the facility officially opened for business.  The gorgeous new Terminal has both an International side as well as a Domestic side.  More than 75 Boarding Bridges were added to the airport with the opening of this facility.  The four new sections, A, B, C and D, also include a first for Indian Aviation.  It includes 75 PC Air units supplied and installed by FCX Systems, Inc. of Morgantown, WV.  These 60, 90, and 120 Ton PC Air units are designed to cool all range of aircraft from a B 727 to an A 380 even in the Indian plus 130 degree temperatures and plus 90% humidity conditions.  These are the first PC Air units in the country of India.  The first commercial flight was a B-777 from Air India arriving from Tokyo, Japan.  The Captain and a special Boeing Guest on the plane commented to FCX personnel standing by the PC Air units, that this is the coldest plane they had ever witnessed while setting on the ground.

Once again FCX Systems solves a customer’s problems, this time by cooling aircraft even in terrible humid conditions.  Showing one more time, FCX engineers are second to none where designs are concerned.
